Matt Lucas and David Walliams spotted 'discussing potential new project'

Matt Lucas and David Walliams have been spotted out and about together, getting fans excited for a possible Little Britain 2.0.

The comedians were said to be discussing a potential new project as they strolled around Regent’s Park with David’s two Border Terriers Bert and Ernie.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge and The Great British Bake Off host delighted passersby with their reunion with many smiling, doing double takes, shouting their names, and taking pictures of them on their phones.

Matt, who has asthma, wore a face mask as they walked, and looked comfortable in a cosy fleece and tracksuit bottoms.

David sported a black leather jacket and sunglasses for the occasion.

It seems the pair have well and truly buried any bad blood after a string of bitter rows impacted their friendship.

In June 2019, David lifted the lid on plans to work with Matt again after the pair reconciled last year following a huge falling-out in 2011.

‘It has been great seeing much more of Matt. He is spending more time in the UK, so it has been a lot easier to see each other,’ he told The Sun at the time.

‘We hope to do something together in the near future, but there is no immediate plan.’

Earlier this year, their comedy sketch show Little Britain came under fire for its controversial characters in the wake of Black Lives Matter and was axed from Netflix, BBC iPlayer and BritBox.

Matt and David issued an apology in response to its removal, with David writing: ‘Matt & I have both spoken publicly in recent years of our regret that we played characters of other races.

‘Once again we want to make it clear that it was wrong & we are very sorry.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted David’s rep for comment. Matt’s rep declined to comment.
