Martin Kemp following son Roman's footsteps 'in talks' for I'm A Celebrity 2020
Martin Kemp is apparently ‘in talks’ to sign up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, exactly one year after his son Roman Kemp entered the jungle.
Capital FM DJ Roman took part in the competition last year alongside Kate Garraway and eventual winner Jacqueline Jossa, finishing in third place after Corrie star Andy Whyment.
Now, according to The Sun, former Spandau Ballet heartthrob Martin could be one of the famous faces taking part in the seres’ first ever UK-based series.
A source told the publication: ‘Martin would be a key signing for I’m A Celeb this year but there’s a massive price attached to his name.
‘ITV approached his management company and they’re talking figures.
‘Roman was a hit with viewers during the last series so getting Martin would be a coup.’
Martin may have topped the charts with his band Spandau Ballet back in the day, but nowadays, showbusiness is clearly running in the family.
The former EastEnders star – who shares Roman and his sister Harley Moon with his wife of over 30 years Shirlie – was most recently seen on our screen with his son as they took part in the latest edition of Celebrity Gogglebox.

As for I’m A Celebrity, 2020 will be a historic year for the programme as for the first time ever, it will be moving production to the UK, due to travel restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 crisis.
Instead of being stranded in the middle of the Australian bush, this year’s competitions fill find themselves fighting for survivial in an abandoned castle in the British countryside…that may or may not be haunted by the ghosts of its former residents.
Other stars rumoured to be taking part in this year’s series include The Chase star Jenny Ryan and Tiger King sensation Carole Baskin.
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV later this year.
