Married at First Sight fans were left up in arms on Monday (September 26) after Channel 4 went down nationwide.

Viewers were looking forward to the latest instalment of drama on the hugely popular flagship channel which was set to see the couples jet off on a lavish retreat to fix their relationship issues.

With tensions set to rise as old feuds reunited, fans were desperate to see which bride and groom would make a connection outside of their expert pairings.

However many viewers were unable to watch the highly-anticipated episode after the Channel 4 app and the website went down just minutes before it was set to air.

Viewers online and on the All4 app were greeted with an unwelcome error message as frustrated viewers took to Twitter to vent their anger at being unable to watch the show online.
