Lucifer showrunner admits season 5 delay is driving her ‘stir crazy’
As the coronavirus lockdown forces television productions to take a lengthy hiatus, the showrunner of one of Netflix’s most popular series, Lucifer, has taken to Twitter to share her quarantine experience.
The worldwide coronavirus pandemic has caused significant upheaval in the entertainment industry.
World leaders are still encouraging non-essential workers to exercise strict lockdown practices, meaning the cast and crew of the hottest TV shows of the moment have had to put filming on hold.
Although the majority of Lucifer’s fifth season, its second overall for streaming service Netflix, had been completed, the lockdown was put in place just before the team could finish the finale.
When fans last tuned in to the Earthly adventures of fallen angel Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) and his intrepid detective partner, Chloe Decker (Lauren German), the devilish heartthrob had just made a shocking decision.

Taking to Twitter, Joe said: “Fellow writers — what is the longest single scene you’ve written? Because I just watched mine — and it’s 11 minutes and 27 seconds. One room, five actors, took two long days to shoot and it is AWESOME.”
