Love Island’s Sherif Lanre ‘spent hours on his own in shower’ before he was kicked out of the villa – The Sun

LOVE Island hunk Sherif Lanre was thrown out for breaking villa rules — which include a strict ban on masturbation.

The chef, 20, admitted after leaving nine days in: “I didn’t conduct myself in the right way.”

Producers on the ITV2 show refused to reveal what he did.

But it sparked speculation over which rule he broke — with nudity or outside communication also prohibited.

Sherif’s mum Diana said: “I don’t know the real reason yet, but I’m determined to get to the bottom of it.”

Sources say Sherif spent long periods alone in bed and hiding in the shower. One told The Sun: “He’s been refusing to get up and take part in chats with the others and said he didn’t like any of them.

“When producers told Islanders they have to get ready to film a challenge, Sherif was deliberately spending ages in the shower. He said he couldn’t be bothered.”

Sources claimed he contacted the outside world while in the villa but bosses would not confirm or deny it.

Sherif said in a statement: “In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers it was best for me to leave.”

There were no scenes with Sherif in tonight's episode, with his departure only acknowledged in the narration.

Anna Vakili, who Sherif had paired up with, is staying and can meet someone new.

A Love Island spokesman said: “After breaking villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed he would leave.”
