Love Island’s Paige Turley dream man is nothing like ex Lewis Capaldi

Blonde bombshell Paige Turley, who has previously dated Lewis Capaldi, has been revealed as one of the constants to have signed up to the first series of Winter Love Island 2020 in a bid to find love.

Paige, 22, may well be a familiar face, as she's previously appeared on Britain's Got Talent, wowing the judges back in 2014 when she was just 14.

Two years later, she caught the eye of chart-topping singer Lewis and is said to be the inspiration behind his hit single Someone You Loved after their painful split.

After being outed as the secret subject of ballad Someone You Loved, Paige is now ready to be a star in her own right.

Scottish native Paige dated Lewis when they both attended Motherwell college together.

Speaking previously about the inspiration for the record, Lewis said: “I met a lady. She was very nice. I loved her. I loved the look of her and I loved how she spoke.

“We dated for a year and a half, then she left me. Then I wrote an album about it and I still think about it every day.”

And despite Lewis’s decision to remain tight-lipped about his former girlfriend’s identity, sources later named Paige as the ex who inspired him.

Ahead of her stint in the villa, Paige revealed that she and Lewis are “still pals”.

“Lewis Capaldi is my ex-boyfriend. We went out when we were younger, I was about 17 or 18,” she explained.

“We were together for about a year. It ended really amicably and we’re still pals.”

The 22-year-old will bin off men with cheesy chat up lines and arrogance, but is open to men who are "tall, dark and handsome".

Describing herself as “loud, boisterous and fun”, the singer exclaimed she does want to make friends in the villa but she won’t be afraid to express herself.

She continued: “I do want to go in and make friends but we are all there to find love. I’m going to express how I feel.”

Discussing if she'll stay loyal, she said: “If it’s the right guy and I like them enough, I’ll be loyal. If the wandering eye comes that’s a sign it’s not right.

“I’m naturally flirty, I think it’s nice to flirt, it feels good. I’m from a small village where everyone knows each other or has been an ex of someone.

“I want to find someone who is different, and outside the small village mentality.”

The eagerly awaited sixth series of Love Island will see a number of changes to the usual format.

The brand new series will take place in Cape Town, home of Table Mountain, Robben Island and Cape Point.

But the Islanders aren't there to look at the sights – as they are hoping to find love inside the sprawling £5.2million mansion.

The first batch of sexy singletons will live a life of luxury as bosses have reportedly stumped up a whopping £105,000 a month to rent the gorgeous property.

There will be plenty of room for the Islanders to make their moves and do bits as the 14,531 sq ft of prime real estate is around twice as large as the Mallorcan villa that is used in the summer.
