Love Island’s Greg O’Shea says family is the ‘most important thing’ following split from Amber Gill
LOVE Island’s Greg O’Shea has said family is the “most important thing” following his split from Amber Gill.
The Irish rugby player – who won the series – is currently spending quality time with his loved ones after making the decision not to move to London.
Sharing a series of pictures alongside his nearest and dearest, Greg wrote: “Family is the most important thing.”
He added: “Too blessed to be stressed.”
His former Islander Anton – who is also now single following his split from Belle – told him: “Exactly bro way too blessed.”
Last week, The Sun exclusively revealed that show winners Amber and Greg, 24, had split just five weeks after sharing the £50,000 prize.
Their break up hasn't been the most amicable, with Greg claiming he didn't dump her by text while Amber took to Loose Women to confirm he did.
Greg appeared on RTE One's Late Late Show in Dublin with former co-star Maura Higgins last Friday to discuss the split.
He said: "We're mad about each other, what's not to be mad about? She's gorgeous, smart funny, she's the Queen of Love Island for a reason but you need to be realistic about the situation.
"She lives in the UK, every brand wants to work with her, every event wants her there, of course she deserves all of it and I decided to come back to Ireland and do my thing here."
Meanwhile, Amber appeared on the ITV daytime show, saying: "From my point of view I still wanted to make it work.
"There was a call a few days prior just chatting- not specifically to do with that. But definitely on that day it was like a text.
"We were texting each other, but that's why I had to cancel."
