Love Island’s Anna Vakili says she’s ‘representing the curvy girls’ in the villa
Love Island is known for casting slim singles year in year out, but Anna Vakili from this year's intake reckons she's changing things.
Anna, who will enter the villa on Monday when the 2019 series kicks off, says she's "repping the curvy girls" this year.
Her comments come after the show was slammed once again for not including more body diversity amongst the contestants.
But the 28-year-old pharmacist says she's one of the curviest girls to have ever entered Love Island.
She told MailOnlin e: "I don’t think they've ever had a Middle Eastern girl before, so I've got that bit of Middle Eastern spice.

"I'm a bit curvier as well than some of the girls that have been on before, so I'm repping it for the curvy girls too."
Among the show's critics has been Jameela Jamila, who accused producers of being "drunk" when they try to sell Anna as their first ever plus size contestant.
Jameela tweeted: "The producers of Love Island think this slim woman counts as their new token “plus size” contestant? Are they drunk?"
The show promised to represent men and women of varied "shapes and sizes" this series, after previous backlash.
But fans were disappointed to see that the curviest star, Anna, still boasted a tiny Kim Kardashian-style waist and a super-flat stomach, rather than a more 'relatable' figure.
Love Island boss Richard Cowles was slammed by viewers after he defended the casting.
He told The Sun : “We try and be as representative and diverse as possible but first and foremost it’s an entertainment show.
“It’s about people wanting to watch and them reacting and falling in love with another.
"Yes, we want to be as representative as possible but we also want them to be attracted to one another."
