Love Island’s Amy Hart slams cruel trolls – admitting that she has been ‘unhappy’ with her teeth for years – The Sun

LOVE Island's Amy Hart has hit back at online trolls who have cruelly mocked her appearance.

The reality star, 27, took to social media to admit she has always been "insecure" about her smile and has wanted to get it fixed for years.

Although the decision clearly didn't go down well with trolls, which left Amy with no other choice but to address the comments online.

Flashing her pearly whites for the snap, the former Islander looks directly into the camera while wearing a pink pyjama set.

She wrote: "To everyone who has taken time out of their day to point out my flaws – thank you. I know you probably think that the comments you make about my appearance don’t get read, well they do – and they hurt.

"Not just me, but my friends and family, too. I’ve seen so many comments telling me to get my teeth fixed, and they’ve been heard. Loud and clear.

To everyone who has taken time out of their day to point out my flaws – thank you. I know you probably think that the comments you make about my appearance don’t get read, well they do – and they hurt. Not just me, but my friends and family, too.I’ve seen so many comments telling me to get my teeth fixed, and they’ve been heard. Loud and clear. I’ve actually been unhappy with them for years, but I haven’t really been in a position to get them sorted out.I know it’s probably difficult to see me as a person when all you know about me is what you’ve seen on TV, online and when I pop up on your social media feed. To you, I’m probably just a picture or a video… but the reality is I’m just an ordinary girl from Worthing whose dreams are coming true. The vast majority of comments I receive are absolutely lovely – and I read them too.. so thank you! I guess what I want to say is… just have a bit consideration when you’re leaving comments on people's posts – whether they have 1 follower or 1 million followers. I have a mirror, I know what I look like – and I’m happy with it.But, like everyone, I have my insecurities. Amz xo

The star, who was brutally dumped by Curtis Pritchard in the villa, went on to insist she was "just an ordinary girl from Worthing" despite her overnight success.

Amy continued: "I know it’s probably difficult to see me as a person when all you know about me is what you’ve seen on TV, online and when I pop up on your social media feed.

The heartfelt post didn't go amiss with celeb pals, who were quick to rush to the reality stars defence.

Gemma Collins said: "They all Mugs baby ignore!"

Molly-Mae Hague wrote: "You're perfect."

While Charlotte Crosby compared the hate to her own fame, saying: "Welcome to our world lol try getting 10 years of it."

On her Instagram Stories Amy shared a screenshot example of some of the abuse she receives.

The private message read: "Your one f**king ugly b***h. Can’t u see no man wants you. Ya f**king ugly s**g’."

Since leaving the villa, Amy has been inundated with vicious comments about her looks.

The star opened up about her struggles with online bullying during an appearance on Loose Women.

She said: "When I now post a picture on Instagram where I have had my make-up professionally done, I get so many comments that say: 'Maybe if you looked like this in the villa, Curtis wouldn’t have dumped you.'"

Earlier this week, the former air stewardess was forced to deny rumours she's dating Heart Dance DJ Toby Anstis, 50.

The pair first sparked speculation they were dating after being spotted on a date to the theatre.

However, sources close to the former BA flight attendant have insisted there's no romantic connection between the pair, adding she's not ready to date again following her relationship with 24-year-old Curtis.

An insider told The Sun Online: "Toby is far too old for Amy. He took her to the Lion King to say thank you for being on his show as a last minute guest.

"She's not ready to be dating anyone again so soon after Curtis."
