Love Island viewers baffled as they spot mystery man lurking in villa bushes
Love Island viewers were left scratching their heads when they spotted a random man lurking in the bushes.
After 10 single lads and lasses entered the villa and coupled up on last night's opening episode, people spotted an extra person sitting on the sidelines.
Eagle-eyed fans spied the man standing in the bushes around the South African villa as Sophie and Connor sat down on the day beds to get to know each other a little better.
One took to Twitter to say: "Who’s the guy in the bush"
Another asked: "Was there someone in the bush just then or was that me"
A third commented: "Who’s that lurking in the bushes???"
While one joked: "Spot the man in the bushes!"
Others joked that it could have been a previous Islander trying to sneak back in for another go.
"Is that Eyal in the bushes?," one fan asked.
However, there was one other theory being kicked around on Twitter.
Some joked that is was Scottish chart-topper Lewis Capaldi spying on his ex-girlfriend Paige.
One tweeted: "Did anyone else notice @LewisCapaldi hiding in the bushes of #LoveIsland this evening"
Another laughed: "Lewis Capaldi is deffo hiding in the bushes, stalking his ex."
And one said: "Think Lewis Capaldi is in the bushes spying on Paige"
Of course, the most likely explanation for the man hiding in the bushes is that he's part of the crew making the show.
Paige cited before entering the villa that Lewis is her claim to fame as they dated a few years ago.
She also said in her introductory VT that his hit song Somebody You Loved is about her.
She laughed as she addressed her ex, saying she must have been a "b***h" to him.
On last night's opening episode, Paige coupled up with Ollie.
Sophie and Connor coupled up while Siannise ended up in a couple with Nas.
Shaughna and Callum are together, as are Leanne and Mike, but that could all change very soon.
After they all got settled in and started getting to know each other, bombshell twins Eve and Jess were sent in to stir things up.
They have 24 hours to decide which boys they want to steal, leaving two girls single and vulnerable.
