Love Island star cruelly dumped as scorned partner gets revenge in recoupling

Leanne Amaning was cruelly dumped from Love Island tonight as a recoupling was sprung upon the Islanders.

And scorned partner Mike Boateng managed to get his revenge as he chose to recouple with Sophie Piper in a bitter twist.

Earlier this week, Leanne admitted to Mike that she didn't think that they had a future together – which couldn't have come at a worse time with a recoupling on the horizon.

This evening, the boys had to choose which girl to recouple with and the one left over would be dumped from the island.

First, Finn chose to couple with Paige while Luke T chose Siannise.

Callum was up next and unsurprisingly chose to pair up with Shaughna and Luke M with Jess.

Wallace, who had also expressed an interest in Siannise, decided to couple up with Rebecca while Nas coupled with Demi.

Finally, it was up to police officer Mike, who chose to couple up with Sophie rather than Leanne.

Earlier tonight, Mike wasted no time in moving on with some different villa ladies.

He told Callum and Nas: "I am going to crack on. My feelings for Leanne were real. When I feel like the time is right, potentially there could be people in here already that I might be looking at/

"I feel like me and Jess got on a lot. And I kind of blocked that off. Also, I never really gave Rebecca a chance. I’ve not been able to speak to her at all. And then there’s one more person… Sophie."

Mike admitted it was a "sticky one" as he loved Connor but was willing to break bro code to get the girls of his dreams.

In the Beach Hut, Mike added: “I would like to get to know more about Sophie if the opportunity comes to kind of explore that a bit more then I’ll definitely be open to taking it.”

During a cosy chat with "big sis" Sophie, Mike tried to get out of the friendzone by admitting he was attracted to her.

When Sophie told him to crack on with someone new, Mike said: "Why somebody who comes in and not somebody who's already here. Woah."

Mike claimed he was "just playing" but stunned Sophie claimed that he was not after an awkward giggle.

In the Beach Hut, Sophie confessed: "I was like woah. I didn't even know what to say to him. It was unexpected."
