Love Island fans question ribbons on cast’s wrists after Caroline Flack’s death

In tonight's Love Island, the islanders got to grips with some fake babies to get them used to their potential futures together as new parents.

But during the episode, the second to air since former host Caroline Flack's death, viewers noticed that the islanders were all wearing red ribbons on their wrists.

They flocked to Twitter to question whether these were subtle tributes to Caroline, who was found dead aged 40 on Saturday after tragically taking her own life.

One said: "Anyone else clocked that all the islanders are wearing red ribbons on their wrists?"

A second wrote: "I'm guessing the red ribbons on the islanders are for Caroline," and a love heart emoji.

A third tweeted: "I've just noticed they've all got ribbons on, is it for Caroline?"

Another wondered: "So I'm guessing the islanders have all been told, seeing as they are all wearing red wrist ribbons."

While a fifth asked: "Are they wearing red ribbons because they have been informed about Caroline Flack?"

However others noted that the islanders wore ribbons in previous series for the baby challenge too, deciding it was something to do with that rather than a tribute to Caroline.

One pointed out: "The ribbons aren't for Caroline, they wore ribbons last year during this challenge."

Another shared a screenshot of Curtis Prtichard and Maura Higgins from the 2019 series with blue ribbons on their wrists during the baby challenge.

A third said: "The red ribbons are not for Caroline – they're sensors that connect with the baby. They have them every year."

And someone else wrote: "I think the ribbons are something to do with the babies as they have a fob or something on them."

Usually, islanders aren't told any information from the outside world during their time in the villa unless it's something happening with their family or personal life.

For example, in series two, Zara Holland was informed that her Miss Great Britain title had been stripped from her after she hooked up with Alex Bowen in the Hideaway.
