Love Island 2019 cast: Who is Anna Vakili? How old is she?

Love Island 2019 will start next Monday (June 3) on ITV2, which has unveiled the cast for this year’s series. Anna Vakili is one of this year’s Love Island contestants after gaining herself a big Instagram following. Vakili is the oldest of this year’s Love Island cast of girls.

Who is Love Island 2019 cast member Anna Vakili?

Anna Vakili is a 28-year-old pharmacist who lives in London.

Her Instagram (@annavakili_) was followed by 40,000 people in the lead up to the Love Island cast being announced.

However, this has since shot up to 60,000 when she was announced as a contestant and is sure to keep growing as the show airs.

According to Vakili, her followers spiked after she was photographed alongside two Iranian footballers.

She said: “I ended up on the Iranian News earlier this year when my sister and I were away in Qatar with two Iranian footballers who have a huge following.

“Suddenly my followers went up by 20,000 and I started being tagged in fan pages!”

Outside of Instagram and Love Island, Vakili studied hard to become a pharmacist.

She said: “I think I’m different to anyone who has been on the show before.

WHEN DOES LOVE ISLAND 2019 START?

“I have the whole glam look, I’m fun but at the same time I feel like I have more to me than that.

“I studied hard and I’ve got my masters. I’m a pharmacist and I have a Middle Eastern background.”

This job has allowed her to travel across the Middle East, with many of the photos on her Instagram dedicated to holidays in Dubai and Qatar.

She said that on one of these visits she had an awkward encounter with a former Love Island cast member.

WHO WON LOVE ISLAND 2018?

She said: “I met Kem Cetinay in November when I went to Dubai.

“He was with his really hot cousin and I was chatting to him and I slipped and fell straight down in front of them.”

Vakili has not revealed much about her dating history prior to the show, though she has said: “I’ve met a few of my exes through Instagram.

“I don’t ever meet guys at work. I work in a pharmacy so they’re either really old or sick!”
