Louise Redknapp reveals her heartache after her 'gorgeous' rescue dog Corky dies

LOUISE Redknapp has revealed her heartache after her beloved pet dog Corky died.

The singer, 45, paid an emotional tribute to the rescue pooch on Instagram this evening.

Alongside pictures of her cuddling up to the family pet, she wrote: "I’m so heartbroken to have to share with you that we lost our gorgeous boy Corky yesterday…

"I’m gonna miss the howling when there is someone coming in the house, the drool on the floor when there is food around and the big cuddles on the sofa.

"Thank you @wild_at_heart_foundation for bringing him in to our lives we adored him from the moment we got him. We will miss you so much sleep tight our beautiful boy love you forever 💔 xxx."

Her fans and friends rallied around her and sent their condolences.




Denise Van Outen wrote: "Oh Louise. I am so sorry!! Sending you so much love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Strictly's Karen Hauer posted: "So sorry to hear Lou. Heartbroken for you."

Martine McCutcheon said: "I’m so sorry darling. Sending you and the family so much love 💖."

Louise adopted two-year-old Jura Hound cross Corky from Cyprus in 2016 through London foundation Wild At Heart.

The charity helps re-home stray dogs from around the world.

Louise has previously shared pictures on social media of Corky on holiday with her ex-husband Jamie and their sons Charley and Beau.

The Wild At Heart Foundation replied to Louise's sad post with a thoughtful message.

It wrote: "We’re so sorry to hear this @louiseredknapp, and we’re sending lots of love your way. 

"You gave Corky THE most wonderful life, and he knew right until the end just how loved he was – you know where we are."

Louise has two other dogs, Shar Peis Rudi and Blu, and her pooches have an Instagram account of their own.

Writing on that page, Louise posted: "We’re so sad to let all our lovely followers know that yesterday we said goodbye to our brother Corky.

"Our hearts are broken, we’ll miss that big tail wagging, the puddles of drool on the floor when there is food around and that howl when someone comes in the house… sleep tight gorgeous boy, we’ll always love you forever and we were so lucky to have you for the time we did xxx."
