On March 22, 2020, ITV announced due to the coronavirus pandemic, production on Lorraine had been suspended. Instead, the Scottish TV veteran hosted a one-hour segment on Good Morning Britain titled Good Morning Britain with Lorraine. With things slowly going back to normal, Lorraine Kelly is taking a summer break but who will replace her and when will she return? Express.co.uk has everything you need to know.
Who is taking over from Lorraine?
Not one, but two famous faces will be taking on presenting duties as Lorraine goes on her summer holidays.
Usually, television presenter, Christine Lampard steps in for Lorraine but for the first time in over a decade, a man will also be hosting the iconic talk show.
Andi Peters will be hosting Lorraine for two weeks between now and September.
Andi is no stranger to the Lorraine show, as he currently presents the competition segment on the series.

He is also well known for hosting segments on Good Morning Britain, Dancing on Ice: Extra and The Big Reunion.
After the news was announced, Andi said: “I love Lorraine, I’ve known her for ten years, I’m on her show every day with competitions and it’s great to be part of that family.
“So, sitting in for her is an honour, Lorraine is an institution.
“As much as I adore always giving away money on the competition slots, I’m looking forward to chatting to people and having a whole hour to actually relax into it.
“I’m a bit of a chatterbox. I’ll enjoy having guests on, who want to have a bit of a chinwag and also to be able to do some serious stuff.
“I am happy and jolly, and that will always be there, but I do have an opinion.
“The good thing about ITV Daytime is that we are allowed to have opinions.
“We are not censored in that way, we are allowed to bring them to the table.
“I can’t wait to see how guests react to that. I’m genuinely really excited.”

Christine also commented on her return to the show over the summer.
She said: “I’m really looking forward to being back at Lorraine.
“The team is always so lovely and welcoming and now more than ever, it’ll be great to catch up with people and find out how they are getting on.”
Lorraine added: “I’m so delighted Christine and Andi will be standing in for me. They are both lovely people and total professionals.
“Actually, I’ve been trying to get Andi to present my show for ages but he’s always been away filming in exotic locations. I’m glad we’ve managed to pin him down.”
Following her last show today (Friday, July 17), Lorraine broke down in tears as she handed over her show.
The TV veteran has hosted every show since the coronavirus lockdown began back in March and is now taking an extended break.
Looking back on all the changes which have been made over the last four months, she said: “What a time it’s been.”
Wiping away tears, Lorraine said the hardest part was missing her family and thanked viewers for watching.
