Loose Women fans BLAST panel as they grill Ulrika Jonsson on third divorce: ‘So intrusive’

Loose Women’s Andrea McLean, Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore and Kelle Bryan spoke to Ulrika Jonsson about her split from her third husband Brian Monet earlier this year.

The Loose Women cast members questioned Ulrika about why her marriage broke down after 11 years and whether she felt worse about it because it was her third.

She told them: “One hundred percent. Absolutely. The first torture was thinking about the children and then the second one was ‘Oh my God, when this comes out…the papers, this is her third marriage, she has failed again.’

“It’s inevitably the woman’s fault and responsibility.”

She was then asked on how she felt about the ‘unlucky in love’ tagline she had been given by the media, and she told them: “I think I don’t know anybody who meets somebody at 14 or 15 and stays with them for the rest of their life…that would be unhealthy.

“I have had amazing relationships and I have had some not-so-good ones. I have had passionate ones and less passionate ones. I have been really lucky in many respects.”

As she was asked whether she thought going through the menopause had ruined her marriage, Ulrika told them: “I think support is important during the menopause and I am very, very chatty and open. I probably did 99% of the talking…support is really really hard and [menopause] is isolating.”

Despite Ulrika being fine with answering the questions, fans took to social media to tell off the women for asking such personal questions.

One posted: “The Loose Women questioning Ulrika were a bit full on – left no stone unturned in talking about her private life – felt so awkward for her.”

They continued: “Just felt intrusive and like they were rubbing things in her face tbh.”

Another agreed: “Wow the questions really indicate that the panel think Ulrika is a loser and are trying to make her cry.”

A third chipped in: “Ulrika is just airing her dirty laundry now.”

Loose Women continues tomorrow at 12.30pm on ITV.
