Loose Women ex-host Fiona Phillips snubs show for making her ‘uncomfortable’

Loose Women 's Fiona Phillips has confirmed she won't be returning to the show anytime soon after hosting it regularly in 2002.

The former Loose Women cast member may have returned sporadically over the years, but she said she doesn't plan to appear it on again.

She told Express.co.uk: "I never really felt as though it was the right fit for me.

"I'd feel uncomfortable talking about my family, I've always been quite private about my family, I’ve never used them in my career or anything."

She then said that if she were to talk about her private life on the show, her life "would be a mess".

Fiona continued: "If I said something about our private lives, my husband wouldn’t speak to me again. My life would be a mess if I was still on there."

She aded: "I've been brought up around boys, I’ve got sons and brothers, and I’ve never had a sister, I’ve got brilliant friends who are women but I’m not one of those women who sits around gossiping."

Meanwhile, Ruth Langsford left fans in hysterics earlier this week as she dropped a cheeky joke about sleeping with her husband Eamonn Holmes.

The women all turned up wearing their clothes from the day before to see if fans would notice their wardrobe mishap.

Coleen read out a tweet from a viewer asking if Ruth hadn't been home from the night before because she hadn't changed her top.

Ruth winked at the camera and said: "Walk of shame," leaving the panellists in hysterics.

The woman had chosen to keep yesterday's clothes to point out the difference between coverage of female and male outfit repetition.

Loose Women continues today at 12.30pm on ITV.
