Lisa Armstrong confesses to being 's**t on from a great height' as she fights for a monster divorce settlement from Ant McPartlin

LISA Armstrong believes she's been “s**t on from a great height” as she fights for a monster divorce settlement from Ant McPartlin.

The make-up artist has kept a dignified silence as lawyers thrash out a financial settlement that could cost the star tens of millions of pounds.

But she was left heartbroken after finding Ant had fallen for PA and former pal of Lisa’s Anne-Marie Corbett.

Instead of commenting outright, Lisa re-tweets messages from friends and followers on the tricky situation.

One fan told her: “@lisAmakeup looks and sounds like a strong girl, been s**t on (pardon my french) from a great height but is by far the much better person, is and will be successful in her own right!!!! Dont even know the girl.”

Lisa responded with three kisses on Twitter – despite warned by Ant’s lawyer not to re-tweet critical comments.

Lawyers speculated she could walk away with a huge slice of Ant’s enormous £63 million fortune -with 50 per cent a starting point.

The millionaire telly star will already be paying her a generous allowance each month to live on.

Last night divorce expert Michael Chapman – a partner with Manchester firm JMW – also revealed that Lisa’s refusal to stick to a legal warning not to ‘like’ or re-Tweet nasty comments made about Anne-Marie would not impact on the financial wrangling.

He revealed: “This behaviour will be viewed dimly but it is very unlikely to have an impact on the finances. I suppose on very extreme circumstances, ie Ant’s income took a huge hit due to something that she had said, then it may have a part to play but it’s extremely unlikely.

And his colleague Cara Nuttall explained: “The starting point will always be a 50:50 division of all assets. Her solicitors may be able to raise arguments about the liquidity of his assets would justify a diversion away from 50/50.

“For example, if much of his wealth is tied up in his business interests or other speculative assets. It is highly likely however that the lawyers for his will argue that due to the length of their relationship that there is no room for negotiation and hold out for the 50% offer. As is often the case, it may simply be a case of who blinks first.

“As teenage sweethearts, it seems likely that the vast majority, if not all, of their wealth has been generated during the relationship.

“It would be surprising if Lisa was looking to take anything less than half of the fortune, which will be classed as matrimonial.

“Whilst Lisa has carved out a successful career behind the scenes in TV, it seems likely that the bulk of their wealth will have been earned by Ant, whose career has been much higher profile and more lucrative.

“The courts will not undertake a forensic exercise to look at exactly who has brought what to the table – in such a long relationship, it will all be considered the fruits of success a joint enterprise, with each equally entitled.”
