Kirk Norcross ‘returning to The Only Way Is Essex’ after quitting fame and slamming show bosses

Kirk Norcross will make a shock return to The Only Way Is Essex, according to reports.

The hit ITVBe show will celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year, with a number of the original cast members reuniting.

It was initially reported that 31 year old Kirk had turned down an offer to head back to the show, but he has supposedly now made a U-turn on the deal.

A source close to the show said: "Kirk was top of the list for producers who are putting the reunion show together.

"They are determined to get him and Mark [Wright] back on it. There's a bit of history there so sparks could fly and it would make great telly.

"Originally, producers were worried that Kirk was going to snub them. But they are much more confident now and reckon he can definitely be persuaded," the insider continued to tell The Sun Online.

A separate source told the publication: "A full-time return to TV for Kirk isn't going to happen.

"But TOWIE was a massive part of his life so if there is a reunion going on he will want to be in it."

Kirk had previously ruled out a return to the show and slammed bosses for not taking care of him.

He said last month: "Reality TV turned me into a monster but the bosses didn't want to look after the monster they created.

"I'm earning a living through hard work. I love getting my pay packet after finishing a job. For me there's no better feeling in the world.

"Sometimes I see re-runs of TOWIE on the telly with me on it and I have to do a double-take.

"I think 'is that really me?' as my life is very different now. But I have no plans on going back to the way things were."

Since quitting the spotlight, Kirk has taken up a job as a construction worker, and now owns contractor company KN Jet Services.

Kirk's change of heart comes after Mark Wright cast doubt over his ex-girlfriend Lauren Goodger's participation in the show.

It is said that Mark is "spearheading" the special episode, meaning Lauren could be left out of the show.

A source told new magazine: "Lauren would be heartbroken if she wasn’t on the TOWIE reunion.

"She was one of the original cast members and gave her whole life to that show.

"Even the Duchess of Cambridge said Lauren was her favourite. Lauren's moved on from Mark and wishes him the best."
