Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Talk Baby Names, Birthday Rules and Dating Basketball Players

Kim Kardashian reveals the surprising thing that convinced Kanye West to sit down for interviews this season on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney came out like Avengers, according to Jimmy Kimmel, to make sure we were all "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

The reality star sisters swung by "Jimmy Kimmel Live’s" first Las Vegas show and spoke candidly about baby names, birthday rules, moving to Chicago and so much more. They even bickered about who takes over the radio during car rides, and has the worst play list.

It was a freewheeling conversation filled with lots of laughter, just a bit of bickering and lots of tea spilled all over the place. And at one point the audience chimed in to tell Khloe that yes it is time she stops dating basketball players.

"I don’t know," Khloe said uncomfortably. "I like what I like, what can I say."

What’s In a Name?

With Kim’s fourth baby on the way, Kimmel asked if she had a name picked out. And while the reality star admitted that she hadn’t narrowed it down yet, and won’t until after the baby is born, there is one name she’s been considering.

"I was truthfully just thinking about naming him Rob, my brother," Kim said. "But then it’s kind of like North, Saint, Chicago, Rob. It doesn’t like really go.

Nevertheless, Kim said that she was feeling the name Rob West — though not Robert West — and for her it’s all about feeling.

"It’s usually after the baby is born and I’m trying to figure out what the baby looks like," Kim explained. "I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects with me."

Kourtney follows a similar strategy, and in fact spent a week before she and Scott Disick settled on the name Reign. "I was like, I know in my soul his name is Reign and Scott didn’t believe me," Kourtney said. "And I was like, no, I know his name is Reign. And he’s like his name is Preston. So I was like, fine, let’s call him Preston for a day. And it didn’t work out."

Parties Rule!

Kim backed away immediately from the idea of throwing Kourtney’s upcoming 40th birthday, leaving Khloe and Kim’s husband Kanye West to throw the festivities. Maybe because there are so many rules, as Khloe was happy to lament.

"No speeches," Kourtney said succinctly.

"Mom is not allowed to cry," Khloe said of Kris Jenner. "If my mom cries I have to somehow–"

"She gets shuttled out if she cries," Kourtney said.

"Shuttle my mom out!" Khloe lamented.

And that was just the beginning. There will also be nothing with the words "40" printed on them anywhere, because that’s way too "cheesy," though Kourtney was okay with the idea of there being "40 random balloons" there. Why? "Because no one will know.

So she’s fine with the age and acknowledging what birthday it is, she just doesn’t want to see it written anywhere. Be honest, is anyone surprised that Kourtney has strict rules on how to celebrate her birthday?

Play That Funky Music

She apparently brings that same level of control to road trips, too. "I drive and it’s my playlist," Kourtney said even after Khloe said, "She has the worst playlist ever."

Even when Kourtney made a combined playlist of Khloe and her music, Khloe hated it. She loved her own music, of course, but "the rest of the songs, you ruin it."

"I love the playlist," Kim said of Kourtney’s music. Unfortunately, none of the sisters gave any examples of what kinds of music Kourtney and Khloe were jamming out to on the road. Perhaps Kim was just happy someone else was making it because she said she certainly has no time in her life now.

Chicago Here We Come?

Kimmel paused the interview at one point to play a clip from the show that showed Kanye West announcing to a crowd in Chicago that he was moving back there and intended to stay this time. "When did Kanye announce you’re moving to Chicago?" he asked Kim.

"He told me on that clip," Kim admitted. "Yeah, so I found out with everyone else."

So how does she feel about it? Well, Kim was trying very, very, very, very hard to be diplomatic.

"We’re going to remodel his mother’s home and he wants to stay their with all the kids," she said. "It’s a one-and-a-half bedroom home."

Honestly, what more needs to be said. We’ve seen "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Kim’s closet is probably bigger than a typical one-and-a-half bedroom home, and the couple are about to welcome their fourth child.

"I think it would be fun every once in a while and I would love to spend more time in Chicago," Kim said carefully. "It’s his home, it’s what made him. I definitely want to spend more time there, but it, you know, it would be hard."

Kanye’s Incredible Confessionals

One of the biggest changes to "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" as it kicked off its 16th season this past Sunday was the fact that for the first time ever, Kanye is sitting down for on-camera interview segments just as the rest of the family has been doing for years.

Of course, Kimmel had to know what could have possibly changed his stance on that, and it turns out it was the most unlikely reason of all.

"He saw ‘The Incredibles’ and he saw that Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl sit and they do their interviews together at the beginning," Kim shared. "And so he’s like, you know what? They’re superheroes, we’re superheroes. If they can do it–"

"We are like the Avengers," Khloe laughed, recalling Kimmel’s introduction of them at the top of the interview.

So there you have it, we have the power of Pixar to thank for these direct and candid moments with Kanye, immersing himself more and more into the production of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on E!
