Kerry Katona has spent £2,500 on her kids this Christmas – despite going bankrupt twice – The Sun

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 38, told New! magazine she's spent “about £500 each” on Molly, 17, Lilly-Sue, 15, Heidi, 11, Max, ten and Dylan Jorge, four.

But Kezza insists the youngest three children would get nothing without her – meaning she’s forced to spend such large sums.

She told the magazine: “I’ve spent about £500 each, but you have to remember that the youngest three only have me.

"If I don’t buy for them, no one will. They have no aunties or uncles – there’s no one on the other side of the family who would get them anything."

She shares Heidi and Max with former cabbie Mark Croft and Dylan-Jorge with ex-husband number three George Kay, while she has the eldest two with Westlife star Brian McFadden.

Kerry has been declared bankrupt twice before – with the first time being at the High Court in London after she failed to pay the final £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill.

She filed for bankruptcy for a second time at Wigan County Court in July 2013.

Kerry added to New! that she will be spending Christmas Day in a cottage rented for her by the producers of Cinderella, the Northwich pantomime she is currently starring in.

However, she’ll be without her two eldest children, who will be with Brian’s parents.

She told the magazine: “This year I haven’t got Molly and Lilly.

"I do alternate years with Brian’s parents – not Brian himself, he lives in Rochdale – so this year I’m in the cottage with my mum and the little three."

Kezza added: "It never feels like Christmas when all five aren’t with me. Every year I have to overcome that because otherwise I’d get really miserable and that’s not fair on the little ones.

"When the family’s not all together, it affects me. The kids are the reason I get up every morning, but they’re also the reason I drink every Friday night.”

The Christmas double issue of New! magazine is on sale now.
