BBC Radio 1's Jordan North says ITV's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here was the "worst experience of his life".

Jordan, 31, reflected on his time in the jungle on Wednesday evenings broadcast of last year's celebrities watching their time shared in Gwrych Castle in Wales during the pandemic.

He was joined by professional dancer AJ Pritchard, TV presenter Vernon Kay and author and Queen of the jungle Giovanna Fletcher on Wednesday 10 November.

The radio host was popular for his list of ongoing fears and being physically sick on the first day of the show before finishing in second place on the celebrity reality show.

The radio host looked on with grimace as he re-lived his moments in the trials.

Jordan said: "You can feel maggots and creepy crawlies all down your back!"

Watching the challenge running against wind and water, Jordan proclaimed that "is the most cold I've ever been in my life."

Jordan spoke out earlier in the year in how he is still not used to being recognised when he leaves the house. The weekend Radio 1 host told the Evening Standard how he has adjusted to wearing caps in public as a disguise to get his shopping done.

On Wednesday's ITV show, the Yorkshire DJ got emotional re-watching his letter from home being read out in the camp with feelings rushing back to the day.

Jordan said: "Within a matter of days people do become your friends and family or the next best thing.

"It was the hardest thing I've ever done, it was the worst experience of my life at times but also the best – it's a life experience that I'll probably never reach again."

ITV's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here have released the trailer for their 2021 series set to return this month on Sunday 21 November with talks of a full line-up being confirmed.

The new series will also be filmed in Gwrych Castle in North Wales due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions in Australia. The programme is set to air at 9pm.
