Jessie Wallace's suspension from EastEnders is over as she returns to set as Kat Slater
EASTENDERS star Jessie Wallace’s apparent suspension has been lifted as the actress is seen returning to the BBC One set.
The 48-year-old is said to have been temporarily written out of upcoming plots on the show after an "incident" that took place during filming.
However, all that seems to be in the past as she was seen driving up to the barriers of the famous Borehamwood studio.
The EastEnders star’s visage was snapped in one of her car’s wing mirrors, her face clad in huge green sunglasses.
Before entering the site a security guard was tasked with taking the actress’s temperature, as they held a thermometer in their hand.
Back in January an insider told the Mirror show bosses had hauled Jessie into a crisis meeting after her behaviour was "called into question".
The source added that Jessie was told she would be suspended for two months, saying: "Bosses were left with no choice but to discipline her.
"During the meeting she was told to sort herself out before returning to work.
“Scriptwriters are currently coming up with a storyline to explain Kat’s temporary exit from Walford.”
The Sun Online contacted a rep for EastEnders, who declined to comment.
Jessie has been one of the biggest stars in soapland for years, joining the drama for her first stint as Alfie Moon's girlfriend between 2000 and 2005.
They had a five-year break from our screens before returning in the autumn of 2010 for another five years, when they left to appear in their own six-part BBC series, Redwater.
Jessie reprised the role of Kat – without Alfie this time – once more in 2018.
