James Corden wears Santa hat in heatwave for Gavin & Stacey Christmas special

A heatwave's occurring… but Smithy’s all set for winter with a Santa hat.

On the hottest day of the year, James Corden was spotted filming the Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special.

The 40-year-old broke into a Smithy’s robot dance as Mathew Horne, who plays Gavin, answered
the door.

Corden – who first copied footy star Peter Crouch’s trademark move in series two of the BBC comedy – was joined on set in Barry, Glam, by co-writer Ruth Jones, 52, who plays his on-screen lover Nessa.

Filming for the hit BBC comedy Christmas special started on July 12.

And recently the show's set was hit with complaints from locals about alleged disturbances.

Neighbours in the quiet street where the comedy is filmed have complained about crowds, bright lights keeping them up until 3am and rubbish thrown in their gardens.
