JACQUELINE Jossa has landed her first West End role in A Christmas Carol as she returns to acting after winning I'm a Celeb.

The 27-year-old actress will join a star-studded cast as Emily/Ghost of Christmas Future in the festive show.

The EastEnders star had taken a hiatus from acting since she was crowned queen of the jungle in 2019.

The award winning actress is set to make her debut this Christmas at the Dominion Theatre.

Jacqueline was bursting with excitement over the weekend as she teased her fans of some exciting news.

The mum-of-two had kept tight-lipped until today,writing alongside a poster for the show: "Pinch Me!! My West End Debut!!

"I am so excited to be joining the WEST END cast for A Christmas Carol this Christmas. I will be playing Emily in the brand new musical stages concert of Dicken's classic, from 7th December.

"With live music and a wonderful cast, this is the 2020 event that will unite friends, families and loved ones with the magic of live entertainment, the perfect lockdown treat."

A number of fans congratulated Jacqueline on the wonderful news, with one writing: "Wow congratulations darling, you're going to be amazing."

Another posted: "OMG this is epic, you're smashing it."

A third wrote: "This is amazing, congratulations so proud of you."

The actress will star alongside actor Brian Conley and Busted star Matt Willis in Alan Menken's A Christmas Carol.

Jacqueline skyrocketed to fame after her stint in I'm a Celeb but decided to take a step back from acting when she was approached with other various opportunities.

The soap star turned fashion designer launched her own In The Style range and BPerfect cosmetic and tanning collection.

The star has racked up a strong following of three million fans on Instagram where she often posts about being body confident.

Despite Jacqueline nailing it as a social media influencer, the actress has made no secret that she is keen to return to acting.

The star recently confirmed she will return to EastEnders once character Lauren Branning is "missed".

It's the second time this year Jacqueline has hinted that she’d love to return to Albert Square. 

Jacqueline who left the BBC soap in 2018, appeared on Keith Lemon's Celebrity Juice last month and was quizzed on her plans for an EastEnders return.

She said: "When the time's right yes, the character needs to be missed before you can come back."

Jacqueline made a dramatic exit from the soap in 2018 during Lauren's sister Abi’s funeral.

The single mother made the decision to venture to New Zealand where her ex Peter was living to try and rekindle their relationship.

The star also previously admitted that she'd love to return to Albert Square with her equally keen to see the actress return to our screens.

When asked by one of her social media followers whether she’d ever return to the show, Jacqueline replied: "Maybe one day. I LOVED my time on the show."

Paying tribute to the show as it celebrated its 35th anniversary back in February, Jacqueline teased that the door will always be open for Lauren's return.

The star posted pictures of her time on the BBC show on Instagram with the caption: “I had such an amazing time and LOVED Lauren Branning with ALL of my heart! I miss you lozza, maybe see you again one day."

With a sparkling Broadway score played by the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, an all-star cast and a touch of festive magic, A Christmas Carol is the must-see West End production this December.
