I’m A Celebrity 2019: Real reason winner Jacqueline Jossa snubbed TV interviews revealed

Last night, viewers tuned in to see Jacqueline Jossa win this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! However, while former winners like last year’s Harry Redknapp appeared on ITV chat shows to talk about their time in the jungle, the former EastEnders star has been notably absent. Now it has been reported she cancelled live TV interviews.

Over the past week, the eliminated I’m A Celeb stars have appeared on ITV shows including Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women.

However, Jacqueline Jossa did not appear on any of the shows which aired earlier today.

Now, it has been reported she chose to spend time with her family instead of doing interviews.

A source told Mirror Online: “She has to film for the coming out show which airs later this week, so cancelled all other TV offers like GMB and Lorraine to spend more time with the family.

“Jacqueline and Dan spent time together in the hotel and probably had a lot to talk about.”

Lorraine Kelly announced on her show this morning she would be speaking to runner-up Andy Whyment instead of Jacqueline.

She told viewers: “We’re going to be talking to, well, not Jacqueline because she’s not going to be doing any interviews I don’t think.”

A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity told Mail Online: “Jacqueline wants to spend as much time as possible with her family in Oz before they have to travel back to the UK. Plus she’s filming Coming Out.”

Last night, viewers saw Jacqueline break down in tears as Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed she had won the series.

Speaking of her jungle experience, the mum-of-two told the hosts: “I can’t believe I did all that stuff, can’t even watch all that spider stuff!

“Was not what I expected, a lot harder than I expected, didn’t expect it to be such a turning point in life.

“I went in as one person feel like I’ve come out as another person, grown in confidence and feel I’ve found who I am as a person a little bit more.”

“It’s a lot harder than I thought. When you watch it at home you don’t realise how much work goes into it.

“I’ve done like Dancing on Ice and things like that but this is 24 hours a day after playing a character for so long!”

Andy continued: “You get people say ‘There’s Andy’, it feels amazing…. people get behind Andy Whyment other than Kirk! It’s getting me emotional.”
