How to Get Away with Murder returned to ABC in the US with all-new episodes in season 16. Sadly, this is the Golden Globe-nominated drama’s final ever series and is yet to air in the UK. But how many episodes are there?   

How many episodes are there in How to Get Away with Murder? 

In the last ever season of the drama, there are 15 episodes for fans to enjoy.
This follows the previous five seasons which also had 15 shows each.
Each one will be approximately an hour long in length.
HTGAWM was just one of a number of hit US TV shows to return to ABC in autumn, joining the likes of The Rookie season two and the 16th series of Grey’s Anatomy.

When is How to Get Away With Murder season 6 out in the UK?

The popular drama released its final season in the US in September.

Fans had the option of live streaming the How to Get Away with Murder opener via the network’s website.
The UK release date for HTGAWM season six, however, hasn’t been announced – but fans may be waiting a while. 

The fifth installment aired its final episode on Wednesday, October 2.

So it will be quite some time until the next season is out in the UK.
Netflix is no help either for those desperate to stream the new series as it currently only has the first four available.
The show began back in 2014 and was created Peter Norwalk and produced by Shonda Rhimes, who is also behind Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy.

The story revolves around law professor Annalise Keating who becomes entwined in a murder plot with her students.

HTGAWM does what it says on the tin and shows how they get away with their crimes.

Unfortunately, this will be the popular drama’s final ever series.

Nowalk took to Twitter to reveal why the show was coming to an end.

He wrote: “Deciding to end this series was a brutal decision, but ultimately the story tells you what to do – as it did here.

“For me, Annalise Keating’s journey has always had a clear ending. 

“Knowing I have 15 episodes left to finish her story, and the chance to give all the characters their own killer endings, is a gift rarely given to a network series creator.
“HTGAWM only exists because of your loyalty and enthusiasm. I can’t wait for you all to see how it ends. Buckle up.”

How to Get Away with Murder seasons 1-4 are available on Netflix.
