Who is Phil Spencer?

Phil Spencer, 49, is a British TV presenter who is most known for co-hosting the Channel 4 property show Location, Location, Location.

Aside from the show, he has also worked on Vacation, Vacation, Vacation in 2012, Phil Spencer: Secret Agent and Love It Or List It.

He remains an active property investor and landlord and has published several books, including Adding Value to Your Home and How To Buy Your First Home.

He's a fan of shooting game and lives in Hampshire with his family.

Both Phil and Kirstie opposed Scottish independence and wrote to the government to express this view.

How did Phil Spencer get famous?

Phil grew up in the Midlands where he was head boy of Uppingham School.

He went on to study at London South Bank University and as a surveyor took the opportunity to set himself up as a home finder.

Phil launched his own property company Garrington Home Finders in 1996, but this went into liquidation in 2009 as a result of the credit crunch.

Phil, who calls Kirstie his “other wife” has sons Jake, 11, and Ben, eight, with his Australian wife Fiona, 47.

Despite the similarities in ages between the pair’s kids, Phil said they rarely mingle as two families.

On whether Fiona gets frustrated with Kirstie being mistaken for his wife, he said that the whole family is completely comfortable and fine with the on-screen banter.
