Honey leaves kids in harrowing EastEnders exit and fans work out why she’s going
Honey Mitchell was forced to leave her kids in a harrowing EastEnders exit tonight.
After realising her eating disorder was affecting daughter Janet, Honey decided she had to leave Albert Square to get better.
Billy argued that she didn't need to be on her own, but Honey insisted she had to leave so that Billy could put their kids first and not focus on her.
She said: "We’ll always have that love for each other, but Billy, you love me too much to give me the help that I need."
In upsetting scenes, emotional Honey told the kids she had to leave, with Will pleading for his mum to stay.
When asked why she had to go, Billy explained: "Because auntie Caroline isn’t well so she need mummy to go look after her. And when she feels a bit better mummy will come home."
Giving his mum a hug, WIll said: "I don't want you to go, mum."
Once the kids had left, Honey broke down in tears and told Billy to make sure they call her every day.
The former couple then shared a massive hug, with Billy telling Honey: "You can don this, Hon."
EastEnders viewers at home were left in tears – but some worked out why actress Emma Barton was going.
One fan tweeted: "“Why do you have to go?” Cus I’m off to film #Strictly for a bit of £££ on the side"
"That's Honey off to do Strictly," added another."
A third said: "Honey's off on her Strictly Come Dancing Tour!"
""I don't want you to go mum" She has to go – she's on the strictly tour. She's contracted!," said a fourth joker.
Emma reached the final of last year's Strictly Come Dancing with pro partner Anton du Beke.
The EastEnders actress, who gave Anton his first ever tens in the competition, lost out in the final to Kelvin Fletcher.
She is currently taking a break from filming to compete in the Strictly tour with Graziano di Prima.
