One gushed: “So amazing seeing Sophie Austin back on our screens again!”

While another exclaimed: “A very talented actress.”

However, many seemed to be worried she’d bring some murder to the hospital.

One commented: “Watch out, someone will be murdered. She will have a blue glove on!”

Another added: “Gloved hand killer from Hollyoaks.”

Lindsay appeared in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks between 2013 and 2016.

Her character Lindsey teamed up with fellow serial killer Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle) while on the show.

Lindsey had killed seven people in her killing spree: Rick Spencer (Victor Gardener), Will Savage (James Atherton), Mariam Andrews (Helen Lederer), Phoebe McQueen (Mandip Gill), Dylan Jenkins (James Fletcher), Ashley Davidson (Kierston Wareing) and Dr. Charles S’avage (Andrew Greenough).

She also attempted to kill five others.

Thankfully her Casualty appearance was less dramatic tonight.

Since leaving Hollyoaks, Sophie has also appeared in BBC shows Doctors and Call The Midwife.

Casualty airs on Saturdays on BBC at 8:30pm.
