Hollyoaks' Breda McQueen plots to murder Mac Nightingale after he reveals himself as her blackmailer

The serial killer – who is played by actress Moya Brady in the Channel 4 soap – was blackmailed last night into killing James Nightingale by his evil father Mac and while Breda will play along with Mac's game, she's got another target in mind and she wants him dead.

In tonight's E4 episode Breda will stand up to Mac and refuse to kill James before breaking into his house and taking matters into her own hands to rid the village of him once and for all.

Last night she was left terrified as Mac revealed himself to be her blackmailer and issued his chilling demand: "Hello Breda. I wanted to see how well I could manipulate you. I saw how much the police scared you, imagine what it will be like caught for a real crime – the murder of Louis Loveday.

"Did you really need to silence him? Oh you're a woman with dark secrets Breda.

"If you can kill this easily, it makes me think you've done it before. And what would prison do to you? Never seeing your children – how much do you value your freedom?"

He added to a terrified Breda: "I want you to do one more thing, I want someone dead. But you see I've got too much blood on my hands already. So you'll do it for me. My son."

Earlier in the episode James had vowed to destroy Mac for all the evil things he had done with a private prosecution.

He faced up to his abusive father and told him: "I'll interrogate you in a private prosecution and rip you apart inch by rotting inch.

"The fraud will get you four years, time to reflect on your many crimes.

"Neeta, Nathan… Do you remember the anguish on his face? Your beautiful, perfect son as he fell.

"I'm going to take away your freedom and no-one is going to miss you."

Not if Breda gets there first.
