Holly Willoughby set to tackle action-packed I'm A Celeb Bushtucker Trial after bosses twist her arm

The presenter, 37, who has is a self-confessed scaredy-cat, will tackle the Cyclone which will see her blasted with a water cannon as she attempts to collect stars from a huge assault course.

An insider told the Daily Star: “We never thought that we would even get Holly out to Australia, let alone doing a Bushtucker.

“There won’t be any bugs involved but it’ll be a treat for viewers. We’re going to throw everything at her. Holly’s going to get wet and wild!”

Ant and Dec famously took on the challenge in 2011, with Ant admitting it was harder than he expected.

Holly will be in good company when she has a go on Saturday's Extra Camp though, as hosts Scarlett Moffatt, Joel Dommett and Joe Swash will also give it their best.

It's likely to be Holly's last chance at taking on a trial after her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield revealed she wouldn't be returning to the jungle next year following her popular three-week stint.

Phil confessed he is missing his "telly wife" after she stepped in for Ant McPartlin as co-host of this year's series of the ITV reality show.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Phillip, 56, insisted that Holly's stint down under is only a "caretaker role" and that she won't be returning.

He explained: "Holly has been a triumph in the jungle.

"I am so pleased because it's worked out so well for Dec in what was a tricky situation.

"It was always going to be a difficult series for Dec so I was happy Holly was able to step in."

He then added: "But I can assure you it's very much a caretaker role.

"Don't get too attached."

Rochelle Humes is covering for Holly as This Morning presenter while the blonde beauty is in Australia, and though Phillip admitted that it has been "fun" to work with the singer, he is still looking forward to catching up with Holly.

He said: "It has been lovely working with Rochelle, she was my first choice and it's been great fun.

"But Dec got very lucky – he's looking after my telly wife.

"When Holly gets back we will go out for a drink and a catch-up about it all."
