Guess We Should Get to Know 'Bachelor' Producer Julie LaPlaca If She's Winning This Thing
If you have even a fledgling interest in The Bachelor, chances are you’ve seen the name Julie LaPlaca floating around the internet as the potential “winner” of Peter Weber’s season. Which is weird considering she’s literally not! even! on! the! show! Julie is, however, a producer on The Bachelor, and works pretty closely with Peter as a result. In other words, they spend a ton of time together.
The internet has a whole conspiracy theory that Peter and Julie are secretly in love and she’s about to risk it all to run off with him into the sunset. They were even spotted at a winery with his freakin’ mom! So, uh, guess it’s time to get to know Julie a little better just in case she and Peter are end game? Yeah.
First, a Quick Refresh on ~The Theory~
Basically, prospective FBI agents / Bachelor fans recognized Peter in the background of Julie’s New Year’s Eve photo and realized they spent the holiday together:

To make matters more intriguing, apparently Hannah Brown commented that she “approves” of the pic. Meanwhile, Chris Harrison has been doing the very most to tease the relationship, telling Access that Peter and Julie have an “intimate relationship,” and that “sometimes, those lines get blurred.” Oh, and an ABC exec responded to the theory, but didn’t exactly deny it.

And not to rain on everyone’s conspiracy theory parade, but it looks to me that Julie is just the kinda producer who hangs out with her talent! Peter included!

According to Julie’s LinkedIn, she spent over 4 years working as a producer on The Doctors, booking over 800 guests, prepping talent, and writing scripts. Oh, and she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2007, and even had a stint working as an intern for Seventeen.
She’s Definitely Trolling Everyone Over This Peter Thing
Proof? This photo she posted on Instagram captioned “Falling in love…with Australia!” Amusingly, it was clearly taken during Peter’s on-on-one date with Madison Prewett (where they scaled that building), soooooo yeah. If anything, she was a third wheel!
Welp. There ya have it. I’m gonna go ahead and assume Peter and Julie are just friends given that her entire literal job is to facilitate him falling in love with someone else in the name of good television, but crazier things have happened on this show. See: Colton jumping over that fence.
