Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins scares co-star Sean Fletcher as she warns he's put on Piers Morgan's tie

GOOD Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins warned her scared co-star Sean Fletcher that he had accidentally worn Piers Morgan's tie today.

The 46-year-old star returned to the breakfast show yesterday, and it appears that he is still getting to grips with the wardrobe situation.

On Thursday, Sean confessed that he was wearing weatherman Alex Beresford's tie – and originally thought that he'd done the same again today.

However, Charlotte had other suspicions – with Sean feigning terror when he realised he'd taken one of star Piers'.

Charlotte said: "We were commenting yesterday that you managed to wear Alex's tie, is that Alex's tie again today?"

Showing off the patterned red tie, Sean replied: "Well… I thought this might be Alex's tie but it's not cool enough for Alex."

Alex agreed: "That doesn't look like a tie I would wear…"

Charlotte continued: "I'm thinking that could be one of Piers' ties… you might be in big trouble here."

Alex gasped as he repeated: "Ooh, you're in big trouble!"

Sean gulped as he joked: "It suddenly feels a little bit tighter…"

He then continued: "Actually no, he's got a very big neck hasn't he? This is a very loose tie – I've got loads of room…"

Thinking better of himself, he added: "Don't tell him I said that!"

Piers and his co-host Susanna Reid are currently enjoying their summer break from presenting Good Morning Britain and will return to our screens next month.

Sean and Charlotte are just two of their stand-ins, with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway also among the stars to host the show in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Piers had bigger issues than a tie on his mind last night, with he and his sons abruptly cutting their St. Tropez holiday short to avoid a two-week quarantine upon their return.

The family thankfully made it back to the UK just in time – with the British government announcing the new quarantine rules late last night, with anyone returning to the UK from France as of 4am tomorrow forced to spend 14 days at home amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
