Richard Madeley confessed he had a “schoolboy crush” on Olivia Newton-John and shared his favourite poster of her that “used to stop traffic”.

During Tuesday’s (August 9) visit to the Good Morning Britain studios, the 66-year-old broadcaster and his ITV co-host Charlotte Hawkins welcomed viewers back to discuss the latest news headlines this morning.

And one of the biggest story’s on everyone’s lips was the devastating news of the Hollywood star’s death who lost her battle with breast cancer on Monday (August 8).

While the newsreaders discussed the heartbreaking loss, the dad-of-two admitted that he had quite the crush on the blonde bombshell in his youth.

He admitted to viewers that he had a large poster of her at his high school that made him very popular amongst his friends.

Richard confessed the poster regularly “used to stop traffic [as onlookers] drank in her beauty.”
