GMB’s Kate Garraway makes major gaffe as Ben jokes she’s distracted by strippers

The topic of discussion on Good Morning Britain today was whether people should be allowed to eat on public transport.

GMB's debate comes after government discussions about whether to enforce the ban in a bid to clamp down on childhood obesity.

Ben Shephard, 44, and Kate Garraway, 52, were joined on the panel by comedienne Judi Love and Aggie Mackenzie.

Judi was pro-eating on public transport, while Aggy thought it encouraged obesity-related issues.

Judi said: "I’m a fluffy I’m a big girl in size – it’s not snacking on a train that got me like this."

Aggy retorted: "I saw a kid walking around the other day eating apple and I was encouraged by that.

"What I think is happening nowadays is kids are allowed to eat whatever they want.

"The only healthy nation in the Western World is Japan and they’ve banned eating on public transport."

Kate then went to the GMB poll to see what side viewers were on in the debate.

She revealed: "They agree with you Aggy, 70% say [eating on public transport] should be banned."

Ben intercepted her and said: "No that's wrong, it should be the other way round."

Kate said: "Oh, sorry 70% said it should be allowed."

Ben then joked: "She's getting distracted thinking about Magic Mike last night."

In a video shared to Ben's Twitter page, Kate put on a racy display with a Magic Mike stripper, as she visited the stripping spectacular last night.

It was part of a West End marathon, in aid of Global's Make Some Noise, which saw Kate star in five West End shows in a day.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
