GMA fans beg meteorologist Rob Marciano to RETURN to show as 'it's not the same without him' Sam Champion takes over | The Sun

GOOD MORNING AMERICA fans have been begging for meteorologist Rob Marciano to return to the ABC show as "it's not the same without him" ever since Sam Champion took over his spot. 

Rob, 54, poked fun at his segment from ABC News on Twitter. 

While the meteorologist gave his report, a child snuck behind him and jumped into the waters of Portland, Oregon. 

The ABC star tweeted: "So this happened during our eastern feed last night…whatever it takes to stay cool."

He then jokingly added: "It’s about a 30-foot drop…the kid was ok until he got out of the water and I punched him in the nose…JUST KIDDING," along with a laughing emoji.

GMA fans jumped to the comments section and asked the news journalist when he would be returning to the morning program.

Another fan added: "Rob, I miss you on GMA. It's not the same."

Rob was previously missing from his usual weekend weather forecast.

TAKING A BREAK

During his hiatus, the ABC star shared some rare photos of his children and smiled beside his four-year-old son Mason.

His son had strawberry blonde hair while he was munching on a banana. 

While holding Mason on his lap, Rob wrote: "Chillin' with my monkey-man."

THE DIVORCE

Rob, 54, shares his two children with his former partner, Eryn.

The former couple was married for about 11 years before the real estate agent filed for divorce.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Rob's wife, Eryn, quietly filed for divorce on June 18th, 2021.

While speaking to People about the ongoing divorce, Rob shared: "The last couple of years has been very difficult.

"I didn't want this and tried to save the marriage, but we are sadly divorcing. My focus now is on my kids."

Despite the divorce, the duo seems to be co-parenting their children amicably.

SAM'S TAKING OVER

In the meantime, Sam Champion has been covering the weather on the GMA broadcast while Rob has remained off-air.

Recently, Sam went back and forth with his co-anchor Robin Roberts.
