GB News is a brand-new British news and debate channel that has launched on various UK networks, including Sky and Freeview. Andrew Neil has continued to praise his latest venture for bringing a breath of fresh air to current affairs. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what programmes are airing, and when. 

Great British Breakfast – 6am until 9am

The first of the channel’s main programmes is the highly-anticipated Great British Breakfast show. 

The early morning programme rivals BBC Breakfast, as well as ITV’s Good Morning Britain, and it features a number of presenters. 

Nana Akua, Kirsty Gallacher, Inaya Folarin Iman, Darren McCaffrey, and Rebecca Huston are all on-screen contributors. 

Viewers can tune in via channel number 236 for Freeview and YouView, Freesat channel 216,  Virgin Media and Sky on channels 626 and 515 respectively.

The show is also available to watch via live stream on the GB News website, as well as on YouTube. 

Brazier and Muroki – 9am until 12pm

The next show in the morning schedule, taking viewers up to lunchtime, is Brazier and Muroki. 

The news and opinion talk show features Colin Brazier and Mercy Muroki as they discuss the latest big headlines. 

Journalist Brazier said on Twitter: ” We are launched! If you like what you’ve seen so far, please join @MercyMuroki and me @colinbrazierGBN from 0900 tomorrow. #gbnews.”

Meanwhile presenter Muroki said ahead of the big day: “With the lovely @InayaFolarin & @ThatAlexWoman ready for @GBNEWS launch tonight. See you all, soon!”

DePiero and Halligan – 12pm until 3pm 

Filling the lunchtime slot is Gloria De Piero and Liam Halligan as they discuss “what makes Britain tick”. 

The synopsis says: “The news, opinions and discussions that the UK are talking about. “

Former Labour Party politician DePiero said she was “so excited” about GB News’ mission. 

Whereas Liam Halligan said: “Show time!” whilst posting a photo of a countdown clock on Twitter. 

McCoy and Phillips – 3pm until 6pm

The early afternoon slot is taken by McCoy and Phillips as they hold conversations about the biggest issues in Britain. 

Simon McCoy and Alex Phillips promise a “lively, engaging conversation about the issues on the tip of the nation’s tongue”. 

GB News shared a video of the pair on Twitter, with the message: “Simon McCoy and Alex Phillips: We want to hear uplifting stories, stories of optimism, as well as bigger issues.”

Dewbs & Co – 6pm until 8pm 

The teatime slot is taken by former Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry, with her show Dewbs & Co. 

The synopsis for the two-hour show says: “Plain-speaking, straight-talking – Michelle Dewberry delivers her individual take on the day’s news.”

She said on Twitter: “SO many kind messages re our launch tonight. I can’t reply to them all, but please know that I thank you so much, it’s massively appreciated.  My show launches tomorrow. Can’t wait! A healthy mix of nerves & excitement.”

Andrew Neil – 8pm until 9pm 

Andrew Neil is non-executive director of the company and he has been keeping the nation up to date with what to expect from the channel. 

Fans of the renowned journalist were thrilled to hear he would be taking on his own primetime evening slot. 

His show will feature “news-making interviews, comment and analysis”. 

In a video ahead of the launch, he said: “Welcome to the launch of GB News, Britain’s news channel dedicated to covering the news that matters to you. 

“And to giving a voice to those who felt sidelined or even silenced in our great national debates.”

Tonight Live with Dan Wootton – 9pm until midnight

The last of the main programmes is Tonight Live, which is hosted most days by Dan Wootton. 

The synopsis says: “A sharp take on all the day’s major stories, big interviews and debate – plus tomorrow’s news tonight.”

The presenter and columnist had high hopes for the new channel, saying on Twitter: “I really hope you’ll make us your new telly family from Sunday, June 13th. We are all so excited.”

On Friday and Saturday evenings, the show will be hosted by Nana Akua. 

She said: “I am so excited to be part of the @GBNEWS family, come and be part of it and tune in for the launch.”

On weekends, the schedule changes slightly with altered times and new content.

3pm-4pm Andrew Neil- The Week

4pm-6pm Free Speech Nation

6pm-7pm Dewbs & Co – The Week

9pm-12pm Tonight Live with Nana Akua

Sunday 6am-10am Great British Breakfast 

10am-12pm Sunday Live

12pm-3pm Alastair Stewart & Friends

3pm-4pm Free Speech Nation – Highlights
