Game Of Thrones fans think Daenerys' dragon Drogon gave birth when it disappeared during season four
GAME of Thrones fans are convinced Drogon – Daenerys’s last dragon – had babies when it went off in season four and the family are set to return and destroy Kings Landing.
In a trailer for episode five (season eight) Euron Greyjoy could be seen staring up into the sky and conspiracists think it’s because he saw a whole squad of baby dragons flying his way.
Fans of the show appeared to be thrilled by the prospect of Queen Cersei and get murderous army getting roasted by a bunch of teenage dragons.
One wrote: “Words cannot explain how much I hope Drogon had babies back in s5 and now a fleet of bad ass dragons are about to tear up Cersei #GameofThrones”
And one said: “I'm just waiting for Drogon's babies to show up next episode ?#GOT”
Another tweeted: “I hope #drogon went somewhere and had some baby dragons that are now big dragons so we can take King’s Landing! #gameofthrones #demthrones”
A theory that seems to back this new one up is that in the show’s theme tune, one of the rings featured clearly has four dragons branded on it, one larger than the other three.
Could we could have been looking at Drogon and three dragon babies since the very beginning of series eight?
In George R.R. Martin’s books, dragons are described as being gender fluid. So even though Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion were all named after men, they may be biologically capable of gestating and laying eggs.
Viewers were horrified when Rhaegal lost his life in heartbreaking scenes in episode four when he was killed at the hands of Euron Greyjoy.
Her other dragon Viserion was murdered by the Night King and turned into a wight, then died after Arya Stark killed the Night King at the Battle Of Winterfell.
One fan suggested, however, that a Shrek style crossbreed of dragons and dire wolves could be on the cards.
They wrote: “Ghost and Drogon will pull a Donkey/Dragon from Shrek move and have HORRIFYING wolf-dragon babies!
"George, call me. I have more ideas!”
