Furious Love Island fans tell star he’s ‘lost touch with reality’ as he shows off £1.2k a NIGHT hotel | The Sun

FURIOUS Love Island fans have slammed a former show star as being "out of touch with reality".

Sam Gowland appeared on Love Island in 2017 and claims to have made millions from trading since then.

But many fans hit out at Sam, 28, for boasting about staying in a £1.2k-a-night hotel to "work" and appearing to look down on the traditional 9-to-5.

In a clip showing him in a pool, he said: "Do you know what I don't understand? Why you choose to have an office job and work 9-to-5 for someone else and be confined to one space slash one country when you can work from anywhere in the world.

"It's 2023 it's the simplest time in history to be able to make money from your former dollar."

Panning the camera to show a tropical view, Sam – who also starred in Geordie Shore – added: "Look at this, I'm still working but I'm working from here.

"£1.2-a-night. Now some people think that's expensive, it is expensive, but I've made more money sat here in this 'office' today with no boss telling me what to do."

Rushing to comment on Sam's post, one person wrote: "It's so weird how quickly reality TV people become completely out of touch with reality once they earn a few quid."

Another said: "I think you need to appreciate not many people have the finances to be doing this. Most people struggling to make ends meet."

And a third added: "You were on reality shows though? So you've had a head start?"
