Friends creator reveals what Ross and Rachel’s daughter would be doing today

It's crazy to think that Friends, the show that will always be there for you, is about to turn 25.

The sitcom starring David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc first hit screens on September 22, 1994 and is still making audiences laugh today.

Created by Marta Kauffman and David Crane, the comedy ran for 10 seasons before drawing to a close.

And while it wrapped everything up nicely, many people can't help but wonder what the beloved characters would be up to today.

Well, if you've been wondering the same thing, this might be of interest to you.

The show's creators attended a 25th anniversary celebration event at the Tribeca TV Festival last weekend, where they revealed the fate of one of the characters.

Kauffman explained that she shared Jennifer Aniston's view that Ross Geller and Rachel Green would be living happily ever after reuniting in the last episode.

But life for their daughter, Emma, might not be quite so happy.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Kauffman said: "Yes, I think they would still be together.

"And as David Crane said earlier, Emma would be in therapy."

Well, with parents like hers, you probably wouldn't have expected much less – especially if she watched the video the whole gang made for her on her first birthday.

And while on that subject, Friends fans that recently rewatched that episode were shocked to realise just how old Emma would be today.

While Ross is filming the video, intended to be shown on Emma's 18th birthday, Chandler says: "Hi Emma. It's 2020. Have you woken up from your nap yet?"

Thus Emma would be turning 18 very soon.

This realisation went viral on Twitter back in January, leaving many people feeling very old.
