Ferne McCann gets choked up as she goes on her first date since acid attack ex was jailed – with Towie ex Liam Gatsby
In an exclusive clip from the next episode of her ITVBe show First Time Mum, the 28-year-old heads out for a romantic night with her former Towie co-star Liam Gatsby.
Last week viewers saw him ask her out, much to Ferne's surprise.
Now in an upcoming scene set to air tomorrow, fans will see Ferne open up to Gatsby about how this is her first date since having her baby and breaking up with her jailbird ex.
She can be seen getting visibly moved and her voice cracking as she reveals how long it has been since she has been with someone.
In the scene Gatsby takes Ferne out to be wined and dined.
The two can then be seen exchanging a joke about oysters making you "horny" as they share a plate of the seafood dish.
Gatsby then feeds her an Oyster as she looks at him fondly.
Towie fans will remember the pair enjoyed a romantic date years ago – complete with helicopter ride – and it seems Gatsby still holds a candle for the mum-of-one.
Last month Ferne revealed to The Sun Online that she is ready to find love again after making dating her New Year's resolution.
She told us she was keen to meet someone new, almost two years after being left heartbroken by her acid attacker ex Arthur Collins.
Celebrating the release of her new fitness DVD Fit As Ferne, the reality TV star told how she's entering a new chapter in her life – and says she's happier than ever before.
She told us: "For so long I've been saying I don't have the time.
"I've always thought that this comes first, or that comes first, and couldn't imagine how I would have fitted dating into my busy life.
"My priority is my daughter Sunday and I have to work to provide for her, but she's a year old now and life is moving on.
"My friends are getting married and I'm a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding.
"I'm at that stage of my life, so I am more open to dating now. That's my New Year's resolution."
Ferne's ex Collins went on the run after injuring 14 people when he hurled acid across a packed nightclub dance floor in April 2017.
Devastated by his actions, Ferne split from Collins – but revealed she was carrying his baby.
In November that year, their daughter Sunday was born, helping Ferne to let go of her anger and change her life for the better.
