Zoe Henry recently joined Ranvir Singh on Lorraine to talk about her character Rhona Goskirk’s storyline in Emmerdale. As they spoke about Rhona marrying Marlon Dingle (played by Mark Charnock), Ranvir noted Zoe was married to a Dingle star in real life – Jeff.

The pair wed in 2003 and have two children together, and despite both working on Emmerdale, rarely share scenes with each other.

Ranvir remarked: “You’re married to a Dingle in real life.”

“I am, he couldn’t be less like a Dingle if he tried,” Zoe replied.

As she spoke a throwback photo of Jeff as Cain was shown and the actress couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

“Good Lord, that is a very old photo, my goodness!” she exclaimed.

Ranvir insisted she “loved” the photo but Zoe commented: “I’m not sure I do.”

In the same chat, Zoe spoke candidly about her marriage to Jeff, admitting they recently had a gardening failure.

The host remarked: “You’ve got green fingers, the both of you, haven’t you?”

Referencing the couple’s allotment, Zoe explained: “We’re getting there.

“We’re enthusiastic amateurs, I think. We’re by no means experts.

“We had to pull up our cucumbers because for a second year on a run they’ve failed. We’re not particularly good but it’s a learning curve!”

Zoe has been part of a big storyline on Emmerdale so Jeff has been taking care of the allotment.

“We often do line learning together,” she shared.

“Obviously we’ve got two kids, two dogs, we’ve got an allotment and he’s just managing all of that.

“[Jeff’s] about to get busy as I sort of quieten down so we’ll swap the baton then.”

Meanwhile, the actress spoke to Express.co.uk about her fears of being axed from the ITV soap.

Zoe explained: “There is no room for complacency in this industry or any job actually nowadays.

“But I don’t think anyone feels like they are here for the long haul and we work very much on a year-to-year contract basis.

“It does feel nice to have been here a long time though.”

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV from 10am while Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm.
