Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden ‘unfollows’ wife Charley Webb amid ‘split’ fears

Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has reportedly stopped following his wife Charley Webb on social media amid fears the couple have "split".

The couple, who got married in 2018 and are parents to Buster, 12, Bowie, six, and Ace, three, sparked rumours of a separation after it was reported they've been "living separate lives".

Charley, who is currently starring in a stage production of Quiz, based on the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? coughing scandal, was seen arriving at the Theatre Royal in Norwich wearing her wedding ring on her right hand rather than on the traditional ring finger on the left.

Back in September, during her appearance on Loose Women, Charley was wearing her ring on her left hand, known as the wedding finger.

Meanwhile, it seems that Matthew, 43, is no longer following Charley on Instagram – however, Charley is still following Matthew's profile.

OK! has contacted representatives for Matthew and Charley for comment.

A source revealed to The Sun: "Charley and Matthew were in very different places in their lives when they first got together. Three kids later and with new careers in the mix, everything has changed and perhaps they are no longer the unit they once were."

Charley played Debbie Dingle on Emmerdale from 2002 to 2021. She started dating Matthew in 2007, a year after he joined the soap as David Metcalfe.

Previously, Matthew told The Mirror that a historic split was never meant to be "permanent".

He said: "It was never a permanent split, we just needed some time apart. Sometimes life just gets on top of you. We had a 'terrible' two-year-old at the time and needed time to look at what we had, but it was the best thing we could have done."

Recently, Charley landed a big role in the ITV drama The Long Shadow, but Matthew didn't appear to show his support for her on social media.

The couple have also reportedly not posted any pictures of each other on their social media accounts for the past year. While they've shared family events, none of them featured the couple together.

Fans also noticed that when Matthew appeared on Loose Women last week he talked about the couple's three children but didn't mention wife Charley.
