Emmerdale fans overjoyed as Tracy decides to have baby with Nate in emotional scenes

EMMERDALE fans rejoiced on Friday night as Tracy Metcalfe decided to have Nate Robinson's baby.

After the pair received the shocking news, they struggled to get their heads around the idea of being parents but after some much-needed conversations, the pair came to an understanding.

A flustered Tracy (played by Amy Walsh) told Charity her pregnancy bombshell at the beginning of the episode, but a distracted Charity didn't seem to be taking much notice.

Unsure of what to do, Tracy wished her sister Vanessa was around to help her, but she is set for an extended time at her mum's house, who Charity said injured herself by tripping on the front step outside her house.

In the end, Charity bluntly told her soon-to-be sister-in-law that she needs to decide whether she wants to have a baby or not, and if she wants to make it work with Nate (played by Jurell Carter).

Things were at rock bottom for the future parents when Nate blamed Tracey's pregnancy all on her and accused her of trying to trap him.

While Nate was talking with Sam, the farm owner claimed he was not ready to have kids.

Then after a heart-to-heart, this time with a focused Charity, a tearful Tracey came to a realisation which helped her to a decision.

"I was lying in bed last night and I felt so confused, then I thought 'I've got this tiny life growing inside me', with little light and dark."

She added: "It made me realise 'I wanna keep it safe', so I'm gonna have this baby."

After Nate said he wasn't ready to have kids, Sam reasoned with his nephew and said: "If everybody wanted to be ready no-one would be having kids," before explaining that becoming a parent would be the best thing he could ever do.

Realising what he needed to do, Nate found Tracey and the pair had a crucial talk.

Despite still not knowing each other very well, Nate told Tracey he doesn't want to lose her, and Tracy told him she wants to have a baby.

An emotional Nate responded: "This probably isn't how we would have planned it, but we will make it work yeah?", which brought a smile to Tracey's face.

Emmerdale fans were overjoyed with the couple's decision and took to Twitter to comment on the emotional scenes.

"Tracy and Nate are lowkey sweet #Emmerdale," one person tweeted, while a second viewer added: "Actually kinda like Tracy and Nate together."
