Emmerdale facing Ofcom probe as 39 furious fans complain about Victoria’s brutal rape scene pre watershed

EMMERDALE is facing an Ofcom investigation after fans were left furious about Victoria’s brutal rape scene pre watershed.

The scenes – which aired last night in the ITV soap – left fans feeling sickened and 39 of them complained to the regulator, The Sun Online can reveal.

An Ofcom spokesperson said: “We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”

The chef – who is played by actress Isabel Hodgkins in the ITV soap – was the victim of a brutal and harrowing sexual assault that played out during the last moments of Wednesday night’s episode.

In disturbing scenes she was attacked by vile Lee, who was one of the two men she briefly talked to in the club.

They got chatting after his friend first wouldn't take no for an answer, and they both threw their kebabs at him before leaving together.

But despite Victoria making it repeatedly and explicitly clear she didn't want anything from him, Lee manipulated his way into her house after the long walk home.

And when he got there he turned on her.

"You said if I wanted to call a taxi, but I don't. I want to stay here. Come on, you know we both want this."

"What I want is for you to go," she told him, showing him the door, but at that point he turned violent.

In upsetting scenes shown before the 9pm watershed, Victoria begged him to leave as she was thrown around the bedroom as he attacked her.

She screamed for help as he grabbed her from behind and held his hand over her mouth to stop her screaming.

Pushing her face down on the bed he snarled at her: "You're a tease, and nobody likes a tease."

Screams and bangs were then heard from the bedroom leaving viewers completely sickened by what had happened.

One wrote: "That was so horrible to watch poor Victoria ? #emmerdale"

Another added: "this is honestly f***ing disgusting #Emmerdale"

A second said: "That was so scary wtf #Emmerdale"

While someone else wrote: "#emmerdale dear lord bit early for this"

It comes just a week after The Sun Online exclusively revealed how the actor who plays Lee, Kris Mochrie, served time in prison for supplying a date rape drug GHB and perverting the course of justice.
