Emmerdale announces schedule shake-up – and it might disappoint fans

Emmerdale has announced another schedule switch-up ahead of the autumn months… and it might leave some viewers feeling a little disappointed.

Fans were baffled earlier this year when the ITV soap began airing two episodes on Tuesdays as well as Thursdays.

Typically, Emmerdale airs every day at 7pm, with additional episodes at 8pm on Thursdays. However an additional episode of the soap began airing on Tuesdays at the same time too.

But now, the official schedule for the week commencing August 26th suggest that Tuesdays will go back to having just one episode on Tuesdays.

On Tuesday August 27, only a single episode will be shown, followed by Save Money: Good Health and Love Your Garden.

Later at 9pm, ITV will air Fighter Pilot: The Real Top Gun.

This hasn't been the first year that Emmerdale have aired two episodes on a Tuesday and, during previous summers, the Tuesday episode has been extended into an hour-long special.

It has not been confirmed whether only one episode will continue to air on Tuesdays, but fans can look forward to some action-packed storylines this autumn.

Over the last few months, fans have watched Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) embark on a dangerous affair with farm hand Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) – which will be exposed during the soap's much-anticipated super soap week in October.
