Ed Sheeran’s new restaurant Bertie Blossoms doesn’t stock Heinz tomato ketchup – despite being the face of the brand – The Sun

HE was signed as the face of Heinz ketchup after revealing he always has a bottle on him.

But Ed Sheeran will need to bring his own if he wants a splash of the stuff while eating at his newly opened bar — as it doesn’t serve it.

When asked for a bottle of Heinz this week, the staff at Bertie Blossoms, on West London’s Portobello Road, confirmed they had none.

To make things worse, any sauce you do get comes in miniscule pots — which Ed has said is one of his pet peeves.

But apart from that, his new venture already looks set to be his latest hit.

His bar serves a tasty range of sharing plates, as well as a big range of beers and wines, and prides itself on “sustainability and being environmentally friendly”.

The place is also adorned with pictures of cats, as Ed has two, Dorito and Calippo.

It is already building its name as a celebrity nightspot after Ed was spotted enjoying drinks with pals Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy this week.

All he needs now to complete the perfect bar vibe is a soulful singer knocking out tunes on an acoustic guitar in the corner.

I wonder if he knows anyone?

A total treat

I SENT Bizarre’s Ellie Henman to see if Ed’s meals are as good as his melodies…

I’M no cat fanatic, but beyond the artwork Bertie Blossoms is a total food treat.

The menu is made up of shareable classics – and the staff are delightful.

There are no kitsch references to the star owner. And if you’re no fan of Ed’s music, fear not. It wasn’t on.
