EastEnders star Danny Hatchard shares petition for Love Island Ollie to be axed

EastEnders actor Danny Hatchard has demanded ITV bosses remove Ollie Williams from Winter Love Island after he was exposed as a lover of trophy hunting.

The BBC star, who plays Lee Carter in the hit soap, took to Twitter to share a petition for Ollie to be removed from the show with his followers.

Writing to his 154,000 followers, Danny fumed: "Please sign this petition to have this murdering sack of s*** removed from our screens. Cheers x"

The petition reads: "Ollie Williams who is due to enter Winter Love Island has been exposed as a bloodthirsty big trophy hunter.

"ITV allowing him to be on the show is implying that they are okay with his sick and sadistic hobby.

"Ollie Williams should not be allowed to take part or compete in the Love Island series and he should not be allowed on a such a public platform."

At the time of publication the campaign has picked up over 12,000 signatures with the figure rising steadily as the first episode of the new series kicked off.

According to insiders, ITV bosses have no plans to remove the star from the villa.

An source told MailOnline: "It is highly unlikely Ollie will be booted off the series.

"He's part of the lineup and already filmed the first episode – bosses see no reason to kick him off.

"They're hoping this will all blow over once the audience gets to know Ollie after seeing him on screen."
