EastEnders spoilers: Chantelle Atkins’ children in danger as fans spot worrying sign?

EastEnders resident Gray Atkins (played by Toby-Alexander Smith) is currently heading up Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) legal case after she stabbed Leo King (Tom Wells) in self-defence. As Gray works hard to try and make sure Whitney avoids being sentenced for murder, his temper continues to spiral out of control. Now, it looks as though his anger could lead to him to lash out at his children as fans spotted a worrying clue in last night’s instalment.

The BBC soap has just aired an explosive week of anniversary episodes as the show celebrated 35 years on screen as the show’s most well-loved characters now have to deal with the aftermath of the devastating events.

Whitney was at the centre of the week’s drama as Friday’s episode saw her hand herself in to the police after she killed evil Leo in self-defence.

Now, with Whitney in custody, it’s up to legal-eagle Gray to try and get her out of a lengthy sentence.

The law has continued to go against Whitney as Gray’s battle to save her becomes more and more difficult.

As Gray had a pile of paperwork to go through, his wife tried to calm him down and reassure Gray over the upcoming case.

“Whitney is lucky to have you, you know? Well, anyone would be lucky to have you,” Chantelle told her husband.

Gray noted: “I do seem to represent anyone and everyone, Albert Square’s official legal representative.

“No pressure, just the entire neighbourhood looking at me to fix everything,” he added, as his stress became increasingly apparent to his wife.

However, he then shocked Chantelle as he became angry with the pair’s children, Mia and Mackenzie.

His two kids were seen bickering but Gray was unable to control his temper, as he snapped: “Pack it in! The pair of you!”

As the kids looked worried by his outburst, Chantelle told them: “Look, just go upstairs and look for your book together, please.”

He quickly apologised, saying: “Kids, I’m sorry for shouting. Do what mummy says and you can both choose some chocolate on the way home from school to share, alright?”

Many viewers are now concerned Leo will put his kids in danger after this latest outburst as they took to Twitter after the worrying scenes aired.

One wrote: “I don’t get Gray it’s his job, he’s being so snappy towards Chantelle and the kids. He has feelings for Whitney it’s so obvious. He’ll get her off with the murder charge, and they’ll sleep together. I really hope this isn’t the case! But I have a weird feeling #EastEnders

Another said: “ALL this pressure Gray has worried me for Chantelle because he’s gonna take it all out on her & maybe even the kids because that’s now started to show. #EastEnders.”
